Meet The Team

Our team has real-world public health expertise in both domestic and international settings. We have worked with a range of partnerships from community engagement, non-health sector, small and large health systems, local public health agencies, to the boardrooms where key decisions are made

Dr. Sadiya Muqueeth

Dr. Sadiya Muqueeth is a co-founder and serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Hyphen Health. She is a visionary leader, a super connector, and guides the strategic runway for Hyphen Health. Specifically, she ensures client needs are front and center, cuts through the chaos, and creates clarity for efficient action. 

Sadiya is a public health professional with 15+ years of experience in local and global health systems strengthening, public health practice, and social determinants of health. She has developed organizational health strategy, advanced urban policies to improve health of communities, and led partnerships across systems. A former CDC Public Health Prevention Service Fellow and Peace Corps Volunteer, Sadiya serves as a Commissioner on Maryland’s Community Health Resources Commission. Sadiya earned her BA in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University, MPH in Health Behavior from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and DrPH from Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, with a concentration in Humanitarian Studies, Ethics, and Human Rights. She was awarded 40 under 40 Public Health Honorees by deBeaumont Foundation in 2021.

Dr. Maya McDoom-Echebiri

Dr. Maya McDoom-Echebiri is a co-founder and serves as the Chief Innovation and Product Officer at Hyphen Health.  She leads the continual assessment of  the products and services we offer to align with the strategic vision and growth for Hyphen Health.  Specifically, she promotes the development of innovative products to serve the evaluation, data, and content creation needs of our clients.

Maya is an evaluation and public health expert and applies equity, justice, and social determinants of health frameworks to our work. She began her career in an academic setting, but has translated her expertise in the non-profit and for profit sectors to advance efforts to eliminate racial health inequities within health and social systems. Maya earned her PhD in Health Services Research from Boston University and her MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Kentucky.
